3D scanning
Accurate and fast product measurement documentation and quality assurance.
We primarily use 3D scanning to verify the dimensional accuracy and tolerances of products, as well as to support customer documentation. We compare the drawing with the actual scanned piece, which makes it easy to identify deviations using a color-coded deviation map. We can also offer scanning as a separate service if, for example, you want dimensionally accurate images of the curved surfaces of your products.
Reverse Engineering
3D scanning is used to create surfaces of objects as a reference for design, save shapes in digital format, create solid models from scans, and potentially develop products further. A 3D scanner is an essential tool when you want to create an electronic model of an existing product or mold, for example, to supplement incomplete mold drawings or product images.
