Electronic capsulation

Electronic capsulation is particularly suitable for the manufacture of electronics used in industrial applications, energy technology, vehicles, measurement and control devices, and outdoor equipment, where reliable performance is required in demanding conditions. With electronic encapsulation, electronics can be effectively protected against moisture, dust, chemicals, vibration, and mechanical stress, improving product reliability and extending service life.

In Artekno’s capsulation solutions, elastomer capsulation technology is used to provide durable and tight protection that meets the requirements of the end-use environment. With elastomer casting directly into the mold, circuit boards, sensors, transmitters, and other electronic components can be encapsulated directly into the final product shape. This reduces the need for separate housings and additional components, simplifying the structure and improving product reliability.

If required, the elastomer can also be cast over an already enclosed product, providing additional protection against moisture, impact, or environmental stress. Thanks to excellent adhesion, the protection remains tight and long-lasting even in demanding operating conditions.

Another advantage of capsulation technology is reduced assembly work. Various inserts, fasteners, and structural parts can be integrated into the product already during the casting process, which speeds up manufacturing and improves cost efficiency.
