We have invested significantly in our own fiber packaging production in Kangasala, Finland. Our latest, state-of-the-art paperboard machine, acquired in 2021, enables us to offer even more environmentally friendly solutions using paperboard packaging.
Our comprehensive service includes product design, 3D modeling, 3D-printed prototypes, test production batches, and the necessary product and shelf life testing in collaboration with our customers. This ensures that our packaging always meets the agreed criteria and customer-specific requirements. This allows us to ensure that the entire production chain is completely under our control.
We work closely with cardboard manufacturers and keep you up to date with the latest product and technology developments. Our innovative solutions include customer-specific printing, tightly sealed seams, and packaging suitable for oven heating and food preparation. All solutions are tested in practical processes to ensure quality and performance.
Artekno offers a wide range of standard-sized packaging for the food industry, providing fast and cost-effective solutions for every customer’s needs. In addition to our own production, we represent the HALOPACK® cardboard tray solution, which is patented in Finland. This innovative packaging combines the best features of plastic and cardboard.

Artekno cardboard box
Artekno cardboard trays are manufactured in Kangasala and contain up to 90% less plastic than traditional plastic packaging. The cardboard trays are suitable for both oven and freezer use and can be sealed with the same sealing devices as traditional packaging.

HALOPACK®
HALOPACK cardboard trays are suitable for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and contain up to 90% less plastic than traditional packaging solutions. The trays are made from renewable or recycled cardboard using a patented production process that minimizes the environmental impact of the packaging without compromising on quality.
HALOPACK trays can be printed with the customer’s own design and are easy to recycle: the thin plastic film peels off easily after use, allowing the cardboard and plastic to be sorted separately.
Take-Away solutions
Artekno supplies environmentally friendly takeaway packaging for both cold and hot foods. The recyclable cardboard packaging is made from FSC™-certified cardboard, and the plastic lids are made from recycled plastic.
