Biodegradable expanded plastic

This biodegradable material is an expanded corn-based material that can replace polystyrene plastic, and due to its high durability and thermal insulation it is widely used in the construction industry and in thermal products.

Typical properties of the final product:

• Variable density between 30 and 40 kg/m³
• Properties change according to the density
• Functional properties up to a temperature of +80 °C
• Good thermal insulation
• Low water absorption
• Industrially compostable

A typical moulding material is aluminium.
