Cold foam and hard foam

Cold foam and hard foam are types of expanded polyurethane plastic used, for example, in furniture. Regular expanded plastic has an open cell structure throughout the piece and does not form a noticeable, hard surface layer. The flexibility of cold foam pads can be adjusted by varying the amount of material and the mixture ratio used. The mechanical properties of hard foam can be improved by varying its density.
